The Information Network of Southern New York Consortium, Inc. (INSNC) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated to implement the creation of an open architecture of data exchange among the long term care entities, acute care facilities, physician groups, pharmacies and others within the continuum of care in the southern New York region. The organization was created in response to the need for expansion of bi-directional data exchange to Long Term Care facilities and physicians groups during the explosion of Acute Care RHIO establishment in the New York health care arena and to adopt the principles of bi-directional data exchange to other existing Regional Healthcare information Organizations.
