Overview
The Southern New York Association (SNYA) has been
awarded up to $972,984 under the New York State
Department of Health Workforce Retraining Initiative to
support an LPN training project in New York City and
Long Island. The program began implementation in April
2007 and is funded through March 31, 2010. The LPN
application process is open to anyone not in a union,
has at least 3 - 6 months of paid health care
experience and living or working in the five boroughs,
Nassau or Suffolk County.

- Last Open House of the Year
On December
3, 2008, we will be holding an open house from 10am to
12pm in our office, at 39 Broadway, Suite 1710, New
York, NY. The open house is for nursing school
candidates applying for nursing school in 2009 only.
Please read the "Frequently
Asked Questions" prior to registering to see if
you qualify for this program. Registration
is mandatory as seating is limited. Unfortunately
we can not accept walk-ins. You must be pre-registered
online through the link below in order to attend this
open house.

Grant Related Work Commitment
Southern New York Association, Inc. (SNYA) is an organization of over sixty residential health care facilities, both voluntary and proprietary, with approximately 16,000 beds in the southern New York area including New York City, Westchester and Long Island. Program participants agree to make a commit to work in one of the Association's facilities for a minimum period of two years.
Employment coordination will begin prior to graduation from nursing school. Students are expected to complete the employment application process required by potential employers and report results to SNYA.
